In Which Her Prophet Just Says No

~This is an example of my own humanness, aka 'fallibility'.

I was just reviewing and reworking Part Two – The Temple's Metaphysics and was rereading the whole 'priesthood' thing regarding The Fourth Valance, to wit; “It is also the only Valence with 'political considerations'. E and I debated about the last line, “Priesthoods are always to be discouraged.” E wished it to read “Priesthoods are banned”, but I said that was too harsh at this moment and She deferred to 'my better knowledge of humans'.

However, one day The Fourth Valance will formally ban priests, as I do expect 'creeping priestism' to manifest sooner or later. That is why I mention this now as a clarification for the future.”

I read it twice and thought, “What a fucking load of equivocating horseshit! BAN those sons of bitches outright NOW or they'll worm their way through that loophole.”

See, I was feeling like 'gee, I don't want this to come off as Too Harsh' which is just my own doubts and fears undermining The Work. And in doing so I allowed myself to be weak and create a possible 'epistemological' shitstorm in the future; “Her Prophet didn't outright ban priests in The Temple, so why can't I be one?”

Well fuck you, my future trouble making brothers, 'cause now I have...and as per E.

So here's the deal: “Priesthoods are always to be banned.”

And so it is...su pingititos.

...I'll make that change once I finish my full review and will post all the edits together...

Her Prophet Writes

~Random bits regarding Diplomatic Formality, the piece I just posted:

~It will go in Part Six [Far Future] in between “Riding The Loop” [unfinished] and “The Miracle of Birth Version 2.0”.

~I don't know if any of you caught it, but in the last sentence at the end of paragraph five [”He had loved her.”] I had first written ”I” instead of 'He'. That's me getting 'identified' with the character. That tends also to happen when I type the whole thing without any handwriting, something I never was able to do 'once upon a time'.

~I basically 'pulled it outta my ass'. It didn't exist at all two days ago, except as a couple of disparate concepts like the 'male to female' bio-tech idea. I woke up the other day and it was just 'there' and I ran with it.

This does give one indication of why I've been having trouble finishing The Explanation. These Stories of The Sisterhood are potentially endless. I've had to make the decision that the ones that I presently have either 'in process' or outlined are IT, at least for this First Edition. If I don't draw a line I could keep going for another five years!

And there you have it...for now.

Nebs Sez

"I suspect the major underlying reason why many 'won't listen' regarding the issue of Climate Change is that it's become fairly obvious that we cannot change its course, that it is basically a natural temperature cycle that we have seriously revved up via a massive input of the toxic byproducts of Industrial Civilization, that it is now beyond amelioration and that likely the best we can do at this point is simply 'ride it out'.

I'm sure we'll survive as a species. We are like f'ing cockroaches in that regard. But the next x-number of generations are looking at a Grim Passage and the various Ways of Life we have now are going to get badly mangled and in many cases plain wiped out.

That is, to say the least, a Tough Sell and Denial is so much easier, especially when many personally think they don't have to worry a future will only get here after they're dead. [But life is full of little surprises, isn't it?]

On the Up Side, maybe this will finally re-wire us to deal with Long Term Existential Threats. We're essentially still "See Tiger/Run Now" in our basic instincts and all Scarlett O'Hara ["I'll think about it tomorrow."] when it comes to things like say asteroid strikes." ...comment on The Slacktiverse: Climate change and Christianity
